The Bulletin contains information on latest news, research, past and upcoming events related to sugar cane technology. You will find a Lead Article entitled: Do Sugar Market Fundamentals Justify Continuing Price Optimism in 2022? by Lindsay Jolly former ISO Senior Economist and Director, We Know Sugar Consulting (WKS), Brisbane, Australia. The article is a must-read as it gives a good analysis of the latest trend on the international sugar market. We wish to thank Lindsay who has co-authored a Plenary Session paper at our last Congress for his time and support.
The preparations for the XXXI ISSCT Congress in Hyderabad, India in February 2023 are underway. As mentioned in the December 2021 Issue of the Bulletin, the links to Intent to submit a Paper/Poster and Instructions to authors are as follows:

In 2022, the ISSCT will organize a series of webinars for each one of its five Commissions/Sections. The first one to be held will be that of the Factory Commission in late March 2022.
The Mid-Term Meeting (MTM) of the Executive Committee will be held from 2 to 3 March 2022 to consider Administrative, Financial, Strategic Orientations and Technical/Scientific aspects of ISSCT. Joint meetings will be held at the MTM with the Technical Programme Committee and the Congress Organising Committee to consider all matters related to the XXXI Congress. On the preceding week TPC will hold meetings devoted not only to the organization of the Congress but also the proposed webinars, future membership of Commissions/Sections, the progress achieved in the implementation of the Strategic Initiatives decided at Congress in Argentina in September 2019 and the revision of the TPC Operations Manual. The main outcomes of these meetings will be communicated to you in the March issue of our Bulletin.
We hope that you will find this issue of the Bulletin interesting and worthy of your time. We would like to encourage you to contribute to the March issue of the Bulletin. Your contributions should reach us by 25 February 2022.
Please circulate this Bulletin among your colleagues and in your networks so as to promote the ISSCT nationally and internationally.
